Karindy Ong, MA, CCC-SLP

Owner & Founder of MyohackerSLP, PLLC

Karindy Ong is a Speech-Language Pathologist who came from the world of spinal cord and brain injury, but when her own children had ongoing airway related issues, she transitioned into the world of Myofunctional Therapy in order to better address their needs.

While researching and learning about orofacial myofunctional disorders for her own children, Karindy saw the applications across age groups and diagnoses. She witnessed an increasing need for an orofacial myofunctional approach, seeing that this was the best path to address complex airway related issues in patients suffering from a variety of issues.

Karindy is passionate about myofunctional therapy, feeding issues, the role of fascia, CFT (craniosacral fascia therapy), collaborating with a qualified team of providers, and getting to the root cause issues. Through her own healing journey Karindy has developed a broad understanding of holistic and functional medicine applications, and utilizes an integrative approach in every treatment plan of care.

To improve treatment outcomes and reduce treatment time, Karindy utilizes biohacking (the use of science and technology to optimize health and goal outcomes) and biofeedback strategies in her sessions. With the focused intention of making a massive difference in the world, Karindy is on a mission to educate families around the globe with information about airway development. The heart behind her mission is seeing not only her own children but also their peers grow up to be healthy and vibrant, able to live without the pain and cost of chronic airway challenges.

Karindy Ong is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who graduated from the University of Houston with a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May 2015. She has extensive clinical experience in acute, post-acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation hospital settings. Karindy has specialized experience working with brain injury, disorders of consciousness, spinal cord injury, infant feeding issues, and orofacial myofunctional disorders.

When not engrossed in therapy, Karindy enjoys being outside and exploring outside with her family, growing in her faith and connecting with church community, going to the gym, listening to podcasts and books, and learning more about biohacking. You can learn more about Karindy’s approach through The Myohacker Podcast here.
